JESUS HEALS THE LEPER

Good morning parishioners of the ever first church in block chain #steemchurch which was initiated by our amiable knight @sirknight . Sir I want to appreciate this opportunity given to us all to preach and spread the word of God to everyone in the block chain community, indeed it was very thoughtful of you sir. I thank you once more. Today we will be looking at how JESUS healed the leper from his sickness and it significant in our lives.

I will be taking this from the Bible in the book of "Mark 1:40-42",I read in Jesus name;

And there was a leper to him, beseeching him, and kneeling down to him,and saying unto him,If thou wilt,thou canst make me clean. And Jesus moved with compassion put for his hands and touched him and said unto him be thou clean. And as soon as he had spoken immediately the leprosy departed from him and he was cleansed

How does it relates to our lives as christians,now the leprosy in the man can be likened to our sins,the things we do not do right, the things that we are ought to do that we didn't ,. As humans, it is bound for us to make mistake since we are not perfect but actually thriving for perfection, as only God is the one that is perfect in all his area of deeds.

So each time we sin against God, it is our duty to always come to him to make amendment for our sins, that was why the leper seek for cleansing of his disease so that he can be as normal person in life

You may ask why do we need to make amends for our sins?
According to the scripture ,in Leviticus 13:44-46

and the Lord spoke unto Moses and Aaron sayings"He is a leprous man,he is unclean, the priest shall pronounce him utterly unclean,his plague is his head, verse 46 all the days wherein the plague shall be in him he shall be defiled,he is unclean he shall dwell alone, without the camp shall his habitation be

In the old testament, it is believe that leprosy is a punishment from the Lord for your sins and for that reason you will be regarded as an unclean being which is no longer fit to live in the city but at the outskirts of the city where no one can relate with the person once the priest confirm it. So also,if a person sins,his/her soul is far away from the presence of God and as a result of this, the connection between the soul and God would no longer be effective and there darkness then take over our lives.

So my brothers and sisters in the Lord,it is true that we sin but we should also come to the Lord for forgiveness as he is the God of Mercy,he is willing to accept a repentance heart ,as a said in

Psalm 51:17 the sacrifice of God area broken spirit,a broken and contrite heart,O God,thou wilt not despise

It is indeed a rough journey to the part of righteousness, but it is my prayer that God will give us all the grace to strive till the end.
